Everything you need to know about rivr+ - from sharing your first hand to running a private club. Can't find what you're looking for? Drop us a line.
rivr+ is the social app for poker players looking to improve their game - by sharing the hands they play, and learning from the hands others share. Share a hand you played, break down your decisions, and get real feedback from a community of players who love the game as much as you do. Read how others played their hands, join the debate, challenge their reasoning, and spot the leaks in your game you never knew you had. The more hands you review, the better you play.
rivr+ is for any poker player who wants to improve. Whether you actively share hands to get feedback, or you prefer to learn by reading and observing other players' analysis, there's deep daily value for you. The app supports both recreational players and more serious competitors.
Download rivr+ from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and register with your email and password, or use Google or Apple Sign-In. You'll need to provide a username, your first name, and confirm that you're 18 or older. Once registered, you land straight in the feed - no lengthy setup required.
Yes - rivr+ is completely free to use. There are no paid tiers, no ads, and no features locked behind a paywall. We may add optional paid features in a future release; if we do, you will be notified in the app.
rivr+ is available as a native app on iOS (iPhone) and Android. Both apps have full feature parity. A web app is on the roadmap for a future phase.
The Hand Builder is a visual, tap-based tool that lets you construct a hand from scratch - choosing your position, stack size, hole cards, and board cards step by step. It produces a rendered poker-table illustration as the hand image. In the current version, the Hand Builder supports No-Limit Hold'em (6-max and 9-max). PLO variants can be shared via photo or free text.
You can share hands for NLH (No-Limit Hold'em), PLO (4-card), PLO5 (5-card), PLO6 (6-card), and MTT (multi-table tournaments). All game types can be shared via photo or free text. The Hand Builder currently supports NLH only.
Yes. You can edit a hand (replace images, update text or your question) or delete it at any time. Deletion removes the hand from all feeds and your profile. You can do this from the feed, the hand view, or your profile page.
Clubs are private or public groups within rivr+. They're the core of the community experience - a club is where your poker circle shares hands, gives each other feedback, and builds a shared history of played hands. There are three types: Home Game (up to 20 members, invite-only), Public (unlimited members, open to everyone), and Private (unlimited members, invite-only).
You can join a Public Club by searching for it in the Search screen and tapping Join - you're added instantly. For Home Game and Private clubs, you need an invitation link from the club manager. Once you tap the link, your request goes to the manager for approval.
Tap the '+' button while on the Clubs screen and select 'Create a new club.' You'll be asked to choose a club type, give it a name, and set a description. As the creator, you become the Club Manager.
Club Managers (and Co-Managers they appoint) can approve or decline join requests, remove members, send invitation links, change club settings, convert the club type, moderate content (delete hands and comments), and delete the club. Co-Managers have the same permissions as the Manager.
Home Game clubs are limited to 20 members. If you need more, the manager can convert the club to a Private Club, which removes the cap.
Your past hands always remain on your profile. If you leave a club, your hands stay in the club feed. If a club is deleted, Home Game and Private club hands remain visible on each member's own profile. Hands from Public Clubs also remain in the rivr+ main feed.
Some type changes are allowed: a Home Game or Public Club can be converted to a Private Club. A Public Club cannot be changed to a Home Game. Private Clubs cannot be changed at all. These changes are permanent and can only be made by a manager or co-manager.
For hands shared to the rivr+ main feed, any registered user can leave feedback. For hands shared to a club, only members of that club can comment.
Yes. Feedback comments can contain text, one or more images, or a combination of both. This is especially useful for attaching solver charts, equity screenshots, or GTO range visualizations to support your analysis.
You receive notifications for feedback on your hands, reactions on your comments, new hands in your clubs, new comments on hands you've saved, new hands from users you follow, and updates on club join requests. You can customize which notifications you receive under Account → Notifications.
Yes. Tapping any username opens their profile, where you can follow them. Once you follow someone, their new hands appear in your Following notification category and in the Following tab on your profile.
Yes. Tap the save icon on any hand card or hand view to bookmark it. All your saved hands appear in the Saved tab on your profile, and you'll receive notifications when new comments are posted on hands you've saved.
Go to your Profile screen and tap the edit (pencil) icon. You can update your display name, bio, and profile picture. Your profile picture can be uploaded from your gallery or taken with your camera. If you haven't set a photo, your initials are used as your avatar.
Yes. Go to Account → Appearance → Theme and choose Light, Dark, or Auto. Auto follows your device system setting and switches automatically. Your preference is saved across sessions.
Yes. Once you log in, you stay logged in until you explicitly log out, change your password, or reinstall the app on a new device. This is the same standard used by most social apps.
Tap your avatar in the top bar to open the Account screen, then scroll to the bottom and tap Log out. You'll be asked to confirm. Any hand draft in progress is saved locally and will be restored if you log back in on the same device.
Yes. To delete your account, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. Your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion — you have 30 days to restore it by logging back in. After 30 days, your profile and hands are permanently removed. Comments you left on other players' hands remain, shown as @deleted. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription and forfeits remaining paid time (refunds, if applicable, are handled by the app store). You can also contact us at support@rivrplus.com for assistance.
